The Ocean Climate Fund is a global funding initiative for the world Ocean, with an initial focus on the Atlantic Ocean Rim. Set to be launched at COP29 in Baku, Azerbaijan, the Fund seeks to connect capital with ocean conservation, adaptation and resilience initiatives between members of the fund community.
The initiative grew out of Hub Culture’s 2023 board level commitment around oceans, in partnership with the Green Climate fund’s efforts on resilience, adaptation and convservation. The aim of the fund is to connect groundswell initiatives and technologies with capital and to streamline deployment of ocean based projects around the world, with an initial focus on the Atlantic Rim.
